New FormSpring Features
We have launched a whole new set of features that should make some of the everyday tasks of form building a little easier. Changes are highlighted below with a description of how each new feature can be used. Feel free to leave a comment below and let us know what you think, or let us know what else you want to see in the feature requests forum.
Time Zones
You can now select a time zone for each form so all submission times will be displayed with your preferred time zone. You can change the time zone setting by going to the “Collecting Data” tab on your form settings page and choosing from the drop down menu.
You can also set the time zone for your user profile. This will be applied to creation times on your forms and templates, and be used as the default time zone for any new forms. You can set your time zone preference on the “Profile” page in the admin tool.
Field Options
Skip Branching Logic for Sections: Just as you can use Skip Branching Logic for fields, you can now use the feature for whole sections on forms. This is perfect for long forms that may have multiple sections which all users don’t have to fill out.
Unique Fields: There is now a “Unique” checkbox setting for each field. This allows you to restrict submissions of the same value in that field. For example, you can allow only one submission for a particular email address or physical address. This is great for contests, surveys, and other types of forms where you want to limit multiple submissions from the same person.

International formats for Time and Date Fields: We’ve added these new formats for the entry and display of time and date fields:
- 31/12/2008
- 31 Dec 2008
- 31 December 2008
- 2008-12-31
Notification Email Settings
Hide Empty Fields: You can now choose to hide empty fields in your form’s email notifications. This is a good feature for those who have created long forms with lots of skip branching.
Include Section Headings: You can also choose to add section headings in email notifications. This is also useful for longer forms, so the email notifications can be split up by section and be easier to read.

HTML Support for Custom Notification Emails: You can now include HTML in the custom notification emails. A WYSIWYG editor is provided for you to easily create HTML emails with formatted text.
WYSIWYG Editor
Safari Support: A new version of the WYSIWYG editor (TinyMCE 3) used for section text, custom messages, and custom emails is used. The new version supports Safari browsers, and loads much faster than older versions.
Sticky Editor Selection: You can now turn off the WYSIWYG editor if you’d like to edit HTML manually, and that selection will be saved for any future use.
