For those of you visiting the website over the weekend you may notice that there are some big changes. Not only have we rolled out a new website, we also made some enhancements to our online form builder as well.
Long-time FormSpring customers know that we are constantly rolling out new features for our online form builder. What they might not know is that most of these new features are ones that have been suggested by our users. We take customer suggestions very seriously here at FormSpring. If we feel a feature will benefit a majority of our users and it’s possible to add it, we probably will.
We made lots of changes during our last upgrade. Many of the changes were relatively small but made life building your online forms a little easier. One of those changes is the addition of more pre-built forms. The pre-built forms are an easy way to get started with the basics without having to build a form completely from scratch. They also give you good ideas for the types of fields you may want to include in your own form, even if you don’t use a pre-built one.
We have been working hard on a new version of the FormSpring form builder and are excited to announce many great new features and functionality. Most of the changes you will see will give you more flexibility in managing the look and feel of your online forms as well as providing your users with better usability. As FormSpring continues to develop into an app that helps manage your business we want to make sure your forms and data are more accessible. That is why we are excited to launch our new FormSpring iPhone app, giving you access to your forms and form data on the iPhone and iPod touch.
Some of you may have seen a strange little icon showing up in the support area…and some of you may have even clicked on it. If you have, you’ve noticed that it opens a live chat session with a member of the FormSpring team.
Like Authorize.Net, First Data is a payment gateway service provider, allowing merchants to accept credit cards and electronic checks through their web sites. It’s also now one of the payment integration methods available here at FormSpring.
Continuing our theme of new payment integration features, we are excited to preview our expanded PayPal functionality. With the new payment integrations we also expanded PayPal so now you have the ability to accept recurring subscriptions and donations using your FormSpring forms. These new features are useful for an unlimited number of possibilities, but some that spring to mind include taking donations for a non-profit, recurring subscriptions for a paid membership website, recurring dues for a club or organization, donations to support free software, etc. The possibilities are endless!
The long-awaited addition of Google Checkout to FormSpring is here, you can now use this payment processor on your order forms, event registrations, online donations, etc., in addition to PayPal, Authorize.Net and LinkPoint. While anyone can use Google Checkout, just like Paypal, the service will be of special interest to nonprofits. Google Checkout for Non-Profits has announced that they will process donations made with credit or debit cards for free until 2009. They also have no monthly, setup or gateway fees, meaning 100% of the online donations you accept through Google Checkout go straight to you, the nonprofit.
You’ve been asking us for more payment integration methods since the day we first introduced PayPal. Those requests did not fall on deaf ears, as we’ve been working behind the scenes to give you multiple payment options. With that said, we are proud to introduce Authorize.Net as one of our latest payment integrations.
