Extreme Makeover Home Edition and FormSpring

extreme-makeoverExtreme Makeover Home Edition is the popular ABC television show that takes on the monumental task of building a home for a family in need. They are coming back to Central Indiana and Hallmark Homes has been chosen as the home builder for the project. FormSpring has been asked to participate in this great event by donating our application to Hallmark Homes and providing an easy way to allow people to volunteer, donate and to be spectators during the filming of the show.

User Profile: The Coburn Place

The Coburn Place is an Indianpolis-based nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing a safe place for women and children who are victims of abuse.  We heard about the Coburn Place through a friend of FormSpring and his involvement in Giving Sum. He thought Coburn Place could use our services to he;p manage some of their online donations and event registrations. We teamed up with the Coburn Place and helped them get started with their largest fundraising event – Blue Breakfast.  Below is how they used FormSpring and how they anticipate using it in the future for online fundraising and more!

More Pre-Built Web Forms

We made lots of changes during our last upgrade. Many of the changes were relatively small but made life building your online forms a little easier. One of those changes is the addition of more pre-built forms. The pre-built forms are an easy way to get started with the basics without having to build a form completely from scratch.  They also give you good ideas for the types of fields you may want to include in your own form, even if you don’t use a pre-built one.

PayPal Subsriptions & Donations

Continuing our theme of new payment integration features, we are excited to preview our expanded PayPal functionality.  With the new payment integrations we also expanded PayPal so now you have the ability to accept recurring subscriptions and donations using your FormSpring forms.  These new features are useful for an unlimited number of possibilities, but some that spring to mind include taking donations for a non-profit, recurring subscriptions for a paid membership website, recurring dues for a club or organization, donations to support free software, etc.  The possibilities are endless!

Using Google Checkout on Your Forms

The long-awaited addition of Google Checkout to FormSpring is here, you can now use this payment processor on your order forms, event registrations, online donations, etc., in addition to PayPal, Authorize.Net and LinkPoint. While anyone can use Google Checkout, just like Paypal, the service will be of special interest to nonprofits. Google Checkout for Non-Profits has announced that they will process donations made with credit or debit cards for free until 2009. They also have no monthly, setup or gateway fees, meaning 100% of the online donations you accept through Google Checkout go straight to you, the nonprofit.
