When Does Your Form Need A CAPTCHA?

Anyone who has completed an online form that includes CAPTCHA knows that it can be very annoying, and sometimes actually prevents people from filling out a web form. One of the great advantages to using FormSpring is that we have built-in SPAM protection in our forms, however we do give users the ability to add CAPTCHA to their forms in the form builder. We did this because many many of our users requested it for peace of mind and as an added layer of protection on their forms.

Alternatives to Copying and Pasting from Word

If you use Microsoft Word and build a lot of FormSpring forms, you may come across a problem where your entire form won’t load in Internet Explorer, yet it loads fine in Firefox and other browsers.  This sometimes happens when you paste formatted text from Word into a Section in the form builder.  Anything below this section won’t appear.

New Form Builder Layout

Hopefully most of you have had a chance to log in to your account and take a look at the changes to the form builder that we recently launched.  Once you do you will notice that all the same features you’ve grown to love are still there, but we’ve moved a few things around a bit to make room for our ever-growing feature list.  The old layout was holding us back a bit, as we were running out of room to add new field types and features.  Also, the form builder really wasn’t wide enough to easily work with multi-column forms.

Are Your Forms Secure?

If you’re using your a FormSpring form to accept sensitive data, such as credit cards or social security numbers, you must enable all of our security features in order to protect your data. These security features are not enabled by default and are only available on paid plans at the Professional level or higher. The security features available to you are SSL, PGP and data encryption.
