We are asked frequently by prospective FormSpring customers if they can use our online forms in their Content Management System (CMS). The answer is a resounding yes!
The levels of integration will vary as much as the number of CMS systems out there. Some CMS systems like Big Santo have FormSpring integration already “baked into” the application. Others allow for integration of our forms via our embeded option which amounts to basically pasting a few lines of JavasScript code that we provide onto a webpage. And other CMS systems limit their users to using forms as links on the page. No matter what CMS system you are using, there is probably a way to integrate FormSpring forms.
A growing customer segment here at FormSpring is State and Local Government organizations who are looking for an easy, affordable, way to collect information online and manage that data without having to utilize a ton of IT resources.

For those of you visiting the website over the weekend you may notice that there are some big changes. Not only have we rolled out a new website, we also made some enhancements to our online form builder as well.
One of the great things about creating a product like ours, is that we are able to put our own form builder to use, and incorporate online forms in our own business. Below are a few ways that we use FormSpring to help our business.
We made lots of changes during our last upgrade. Many of the changes were relatively small but made life building your online forms a little easier. One of those changes is the addition of more pre-built forms. The pre-built forms are an easy way to get started with the basics without having to build a form completely from scratch. They also give you good ideas for the types of fields you may want to include in your own form, even if you don’t use a pre-built one.
Many small businesses and nonprofit organizations have turned to blogging as a way to connect with their customers, and as a relatively cheap way to do a bit of online marketing. One of the more popular blogging platforms is WordPress. Many people don’t know that creating a form that works in your WordPress blog is easy with FormSpring. You can create any type of form, a simple online contact form or even an event registration form, and embed that form right within your blog post.
We have been working hard on a new version of the FormSpring form builder and are excited to announce many great new features and functionality. Most of the changes you will see will give you more flexibility in managing the look and feel of your online forms as well as providing your users with better usability. You can see some of the major changes in action by viewing a video recap.
Even though we know that people all over the world are using our form builder, it’s still cool to talk with different users around the globe to hear how they found FormSpring and how they have incorporated into their business. BedandBreakfastMap is a great site that helps users find B&B’s throughout the UK. With over 20,000 bed and breakfast’s you are going to be hard pressed not to find what you are looking for! BedandBreakfastMap is using FormSpring for feedback forms, contact forms and much more. Read below on how they are using online forms to help make their business more effecient.
Two questions that we are often asked is the best way to integrate your online forms with your website and how to get the forms to match the “look and feel” of your site.
FormSpring gives you a few different options to integrate your web forms. The first is by using a simple link. Each form that you create in the form builder automatically generates a URL for that form. By using that URL you can easily link the form from anywhere on your site, use the link in an email newsletter or post on third party websites, without having to generate a new form for each instance. When using the URL you can choose a standard template (we offer 6 basic templates) or you can create your template.
